Ta Prohm is one of the most atmospheric monuments in Cambodia’s Angkor Archaeological Park. Massive tree roots descend across stone galleries, grow over doorways and wrap around sections of the ancient temple. This remarkable relationship between architecture and nature has made Ta Prohm one of the most photographed places in Siem Reap. Yet Ta Prohm is much more than a “jungle temple” or a film location. Originally known as Rajavihara, it was a major Buddhist monastery establ
